Ivo Dimitrov

Ivo Dimitrov is a China specialist with more than 25 years of experience supporting European companies in risk mitigation, complex sourcing, negotiations and industrial projects involving Chinese manufacturers and counterparts.

Since the late 1990s, he has worked extensively on the ground in China, with direct exposure to factories, supplier selection, contract negotiations, industrial equipment and production lines implementation, and staff training.

His work focuses on situations where the cost of a wrong decision is high – supplier uncertainty, large-value transactions, and projects requiring reliable verification and control.

Areas of expertise include:

  • Identification and evaluation of Chinese manufacturers
  • Supplier verification and risk assessment
  • Commercial and technical negotiations
  • Participation in trade fairs and industry exhibitions, both from the buyer and exhibitor perspective
  • On-site support during factory visits, equipment installation and training
  • Coordination of industrial projects and production setup

In addition to his industrial and commercial work, he has experience as an intermediary and representative of Bulgarian performers in China, managing communication, negotiations and cultural alignment in a complex cross-cultural environment.
